User survey results
As a pan-European distributed research infrastructure, DANUBIUS-RI presented the questionnaire and requested letters from mostly European research institutions. To this extent, the pool of potential respondents to the questionnaire was initially biased. In the table below, letters of interest received for DANUBIUS-RI are also indicated. The maps below show the exact origins of each questionnaire and letter of interest received.

The distribution of potential users in Europe is somehow biased by the influence of DANUBIUS-RI partners at their national level. For this reason, Romania, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Italy are certainly overrepresented (as compared with a likely distribution of users, when DANUBIUS-RI will be operational). Countries not represented within the DANUBIUS-PP project – France, Sweden, Poland, Finland or Portugal – are countries underrepresented in the distribution below.
However, as explained, this has more to do with the bonds created by DANUBIUS-RI partners at local and national levels than with a lack of interest from research institutions, higher education organisations and companies of the above-mentioned countries.
